    Belief

“Belief. Makes things real…” –Gavin DeGraw

Wow. What a great lyric. Things in life seem “real” to us because we believe that they are. We hear words that people tell us and take the information they are conveying for truth, because we choose to believe them. We live our days out in a society that relies on the notion of belief. Belief in religion, belief in family, belief in friendship, belief in the good of all mankind, belief that life should be better, belief that this is all there is. Many times we inherit beliefs from others. Sometimes we develop them all on our own. Belief can be taught, or sometimes it is forced. But in the end, if you believe it, then for you, it is real.

Well here are a few more beliefs that I’d like to share with you. Belief in yourself. Belief that the path of your life is in your hands, chosen by you. That if you want something in this life, in your life, you have the power to bring it, if you believe. Belief that positive energy can actually change your life and the world around you. Belief that the attitude you emit to the world, is the same attitude and energy that will be returned to you.

Like many times, I was struck by this message once when I thought I was merely listening to a song. However messages and ideas make it through to you personally, I hope this one does for you.

    Belief.

    Hello!

    Posted in: Uncategorized

Just like all good things must come to an end, so to they must have a beginning. This is the first of hopefully many posts on my new site. I have had an online presence out there for a while but lately I have decided that it was time for a change. Something fresh, something new. I wanted to have the ability to throw out tutorials, post ideas or points of view. And keep in contact with the world and all of it’s blogness. ROFLMAO! Yep, kinda older but I still know what that means! So if this is your first visit, or you are returning to see whats new, welcome. I hope you like what you see, enjoy what you read, and go away feeling like you found what you were looking for. If you have any questions or want to send me a quick note, I would love to here from you.

I am always looking for the next great project to work on so if it’s yours,  let’s get working on it.

It was an honor and privilege to work with FJ Westcott on their 2010 Product Catalog. I have been nothing but pleased and impressed with FJ Westcott and it’s staff that I have been blessed to meet. The company is loaded with high quality products and only matched by the caliber and dedication of people that are there to help you with questions about them.

The catalog was a great project to work on and something that I am very proud to have been a part of. I need to send out a huge thank you to each and every person who had a hand in helping bringing this one to life. From our incredible set assistants, to Westcott’s team, everyone played an important hand in the making, and I was lucky to have them there for me. Our theme was Gaia. Mother Earth. And the thought process was that she is the feeder of light to the earth, the protector and nurturer. Where we come in to play as photographers, we to depend on light to shape and create our images. Light is a key factor in what we do, I am grateful to be able to work with the best products on the market when I’m ready to create! Thanks Westcott!
